Faulty phone now damaged

Ead your article - the No water, no cry. It makes me want to cry. This phone is advertised to be water resistant to 1 meter (and 30 minutes underwater).

I have the New Sony Xperia Z (not functioning) from my upgrade through the nearest MTN which is in Columbine Square, JHB South.

Two months of bliss with this amazing phone and I finally felt 'brave' enough, decided to test it in a jug of water.

I made sure all the flaps were completely sealed properly before doing so! I have two witnesses that can vouch for me that this phone was not in longer than ten/twenty seconds.

I took it out and not even a hour later the phone would not unlock or switch on at all. If I charge it the red light comes on but no screen display.

I took it to MTN they said that it is my problem and confirmed that it has water damage.

Please advise your contact person at Sony. I would greatly appreciate any help in this regard.

I'm shattered about this and wish my phone could be replaced.
