NEW AGE DID NOT TURN UP FOR APPOINTMENT

I contacted New Age Building Maintenance in order to do laminate flooring installation in my bedroom. The job was booked for Saturday, 31 August 2013 @ 08:30. I called their offices on Friday afternoon and confirmed the booking.

On Saturday morning I woke up early to clear all the furniture from my bedroom (which took around 1/2 hour) and then waited for them to arrive. At around 09:00 (half an hour after they were meant to arrive) I called the Supervisor whose details were given as a contact in case of emergency. I called three times but got no answer. I left a message. No reply. At around 09:30 I called another contact on their letterhead (Justus) and he informed me that unfortunately they would not be coming out as the person that does their laminate flooring didn't arrive for work that morning. They apologised but were adamant that it was not their fault and there was nothing they could do about it.

Is it too much to ask that the customer be informed timeously when these kinds of situations arise?? A phone call from them would have saved me a lot of time and effort.

Really annoyed at the lack of respect shown to me by them!!!
