Payed off a modem and still paying after contract

I started up a iburst contract with a modem, with a company called enterprise who was taken over by Vox telecom my contract ended at the end of December since then i have been told i automatically get moved to a month to month contract WITH OUT MY SIGNATURE. Now its mid Feb and I am still paying for a modem I should in fact own I have tried to downgrade they did not receive my Fax and refuse to use my emails as proof for the change. Today 12/02/2013 I try cancelling the say it takes a calender month what is the point of a contract expiring? I have tried to be diplomatic my now i am forced to go cancel my Debt order to these. To all out there Please save your self's from the frustration dealing with these people
