Offered a new modem contract with a new modem over the phone last year around November, i accepted the contract and declined the modem as the one I had still worked. Within 4 hours of the phone call, my modem no longer worked. Went to the vodacom store to find out why, no decent explanation offered. Tried to get the modem offered over the phone as the new contract had not started yet, was told I had to buy one, and pay a reconnection fee (never disconnected or stopped paying!!!). In January 2013 went to buy a modem, now reconnection fee needed, but had to get a starter pack... why? I already had a sim card and a number from my old modem, and the account was still active. Called the call centre and explained all the above, asked to speak to a manager, after no help was forth coming... he/she was either on the phone or in a meeting. Was promised a call back within 7 - 10 days, after they had listened to the original call made to me offering me the new contract and a modem. A month later I am still waiting and paying for a service I am not able to access!!! Wonderful customer service... not!!!
