I purchased an HP Pavilion dv7-Core i7-2630QM note book in February 2011.
About four months into ownership there was a critical error on the hard drive which needed replacing, shorty after several of the drivers failed. Earlier this year there was another critical error on the notebook which resulted in complete reset, I ended up losing all of my work and program's. Now currently the thermal applications and heat sink is overheating, damaging the entire machine.
All these issues for a state of the art machine is unacceptable, the price that I paid for it, one would assume you get more than one year warranty and once the warranty has expired you no more than a number.
If a machine has a known problem as this particular model has, surely some form of recall will be sent to the owners.
I have taken the notebook into a repair store, but in the mean time I am loosing revenue due to a malfunctioning notebook, and get told there is nothing HP can do by the customer care consultant which I find not only insulting but also rude.
