Pathetic Service from HP

We have an HP Pavilion DV7 Notebook that is less than a year old, there is nothing wrong with the machine, just the charger that has stopped working.

Started off by phoning 0860 001 030, to be told I had to phone a different number at 0860 104 771. Here I was told to phone 0861826000. They insist that the entire machine be booked in for a period of 5 to 7 working days, although it is just the charger that is faulty. I tried explaining to them that the notebook is used for business use by our CEO and it would be impossible to book the machine in for that duration considering that the machine is in perfect working order and that we only need to replace the charger which is still under warranty.. They insist that it is "Company Policy" and they not willing to budge.

As a company we use Dell and HP laptops. When I have a problem with Dell they send a technician to our office and fix or replace on site. HP want me to come to them, and book something in for 7 working days that is not broken...

I find this to be pathetic call centre service hidden behind more and more common "it's company policy" rubbish.
