Who will take responsibility of the wrong info

I would like to lodge a formal complaint against Cherry car dealership in randburg. my husband bought me a ford fiesta from them last year, during the time of purchase we asked the usual question about service, warranty, if the car was ever involved in an accident or not and the like. during that time Casper who was the sales person mentioned to us that the car should be taken for service after every 20 000km, he even told us that maybe Ford has got so much trust in their cars that they should be serviced after 20000km, after hearing this we took the car went home & waited for the 20 000ks at that time we bought it on 26 000ks on the clock, which meant i should take it at 46000ks, until my husband got worried and decided to go to ford & find out if that was the case, Ford told us we were very late, there is a yearly service and then the 15000ks service so which ever came first, now what ford did was cancel our warranty, because of a fault that was caused by being given wrong information. Cherry is refusing to meet us half way saying the onus was on us to read the service and warranty book. my question to Cherry is who is going to take responsibility of the wrong info given to us?
