Purchased a 2011 Ford Focus. Initial owner failed to service vehicle at its 40 000km interval and as such manufacturers warranty was void. I was also advised by Ford In east London the same thing.

Upon contacting Ford SA if it was possible to re-instate warranty I was advised that this is not possible. I then forwarded a letter to Ford SA requesting same knowing that this is not standard practice after a vehicle has missed a service interval.

Ford SA responded and advised that 50% warranty was re-instated and that full re-instatement would be in affect after 80 000 service interval. More than what I was expecting.
