I really didn't have any pleasure dealing with Hyundai the last 2 weeks. I took my car in on the 7th of Feb 2013 because of a noise coming from my gearbox. The car was sent in for repairs after being delivered to Hyundai Alberton. The service and response I got from this branch was good so far. The car was sent to Mayfair gearbox for gearbox repairs. My car is only on 63000km and this is already an issue (it contradicts the image in the media that Hyundai is a good brand to buy). The results also show that my clutch is faulty and I have to replace that. This will cost me - R4800. Mayfair is claiming that they are still waiting for a confirmation on the warranty claim. Hyundai is saying that they are waiting for Mayfair. Now I was told by Hyundai customer services they will keep me up to date on what is happening with the claim. This has resulted in back and forth calling from my side with no luck. Nobody can give me straight answers on the progress with my car and how long it will take. The car has broken down as result of a manufacturer defect. I was in no way helped with any courtesy car or any help what so ever.
