My vehicle, an ix35, was delivered to Hyundai PMB on Monday 4 February 2013 for service and for clutch to be assessed. The work was supposed to take 2 days, as gearbox had to be removed. On the 3rd day I was informed the clutch plate and something else had defects. I was told these were not a result of abuse, negligence or wear & tear. As a result they should be replaced on warranty. On Friday the 8th, after I called into the dealership, I was told that Hyundai Technical (national) disputes that this should be done on warranty. However, they were still trying to negotiate this with Hyundai SA. On the same day, the dealership (not Hyundai) that sold me the vehicle spoke to the workshop foreman at Hyundai PMB in my presence and requested a quotation on the work to be carried out should the work not be carried out on warranty. We are still waiting. Speaking to the Dealer Principal and e-mailing him has not helped. I phoned Hyundai SA and an official (name withheld) who promised to have this matter resolved on Tuesday the 12th. He promised that he would revert to me by the next morning, latest. I have now left him two e-mails to no avail. I need my vehicle back, but nobody cares
