Hyundai i10

Cars & Transport

We bought a new Hyundai i10 in September 2012. From the beginning my husband said he heard a `knocking` noise when changing gears. At first we just ignored it, but then took it to both Multi franchise in PE and one of the other Dealers in the area. Both said it was one of Hyundai`s `attributes` and we shouldn`t be worried. We were not happy and took it back again (job card ref. available) to be told all is well. My son then insisted that the workshop manager take the car for a drive, and only then did he admit there was a problem with the gearbox and promised he will take it up with Hyundai. We waited 3 weeks, no feedback. When we phoned they wanted to do a blue-print on the gearbox. Once this was done, there was proof that there was a problem with the gearbox and they requested me to bring the car back in order to be fixed. Seeing that this is a brand new car, I find it unacceptable: I either want my car replaced or be reimbursed with the full purchase amount. On 28 May 2013 I sent an e-mail to an address I got from Client Services to [Email Removed] and up to today had no acknowledgement of receipt, let alone a reply to my problem!
