UNFAIR BILLING OF TOW SERVICES

Cars & Transport

I have purchased a Hyundai i20 motion on 28 June 2013 from Menlyn Pretoria Dealership.

In August 2013 I experienced problems with the car as it had a Malfunction warning light on and that brought the car to a halt (as it was no longer driveable), when i referred to the manual it said the car would continue to be driveable but it needed to be taken to the dealership to be checked.
I went to the dealership to report the matter and Ms Rinke Theron (sales person) who took the car in to be checked and told me that the steering wheel was not properly fastened after it was adjusted hence it affected the functionality of the car.

The 26th of October 2013, same thing happended, I called them and they sent a tow service truck. I have received a call from Hyundai Menlyn to say i must fetch my vehcle and bring money for tow services because the problem is non warranty related. However they dont even know what the problem is, why am i supposed to pay for the tow for the car that shouldnt even give me problems as its quite new! I am very unhappy with Hyundai for the inconvinience of selling me a car that gets stuck within 6 months of purchase. They cant even help me but quick to tell me to pay!
