Polo Vivo with head gasket problems

I bought a demo Polo with 2900 kilometers on the clock beginning of September. The temperature warning signal went of twice in one week and I took the care back. The said the head must be replaced at only 4000 kilometers. They have the car almost two weeks now to "repair". I demanded a new car but they refused and said I have a three year guarantee. What about the inconvenience of breaking every now and then?
