Polo vivo 1 month and still waiting

Recently my car a 2012 Polo Vivo was broken into, and the speedometer together with a ECU component part number 03C 906 014EE was.

I then received a letter from Audi/VW informing me that the part was not available in the country and that it would take 15-20 working days for the part to be delivered.

Surely a company such as VW should have a minimum reorder on there systems to notify them when certain parts should be reordered so customers are not left stranded and incuring car hire bills of almost R10 000. The polo vivo is one of the countries top selling cars and to think VW does not have all the parts locally.
