Not honouring promises made

Cars & Transport

I had a 90 000 kms limit warranty on my car. At 86892 kms, I took my car to Williams Hunt for a check up. They informed me that my brake pads were low and my disc needed to be skimmed. Because I have done all my previous services at Reeds N1 City I told Williams Hunt not to proceed as my car was due for the 90000 kms service in any caes. I called Reeds to advise them that my brakes is a cuase of concern and that my 90000 kms service will be due soon. I asked them what would happen if I exceeded the 90000 kms limit. I was informed that I could exceed the limit with 1900 kms. When I took the car in, the warranty co. repudiated my claim. Reeds denied ever telling me that I could exceed my limit. I had to negotiate with the insurer myself to reconsider the claim. Further to that, I received a call saying that my rear light is cracked and the cost would be -R1400. When the car was booked in, no mention was made of any cracks. Previously my car had been damaged 3 times in their wash bay. The next morning I called the service advisor to enquire why they never picked up that the light was cracked when they booked the vehicle in. He said that he had been informed about it afterwards.
