Seabourne Express dont deliver on their promise

1. On 23 April 2013 we contacted the firm and spoke to Norma Solomons.
2. We needed to have a parcel delivered by 30 April 2013.
3. We asked Norma whether they would be able to deliver the parcel in time.
4. She confirmed that they would definitely be able to deliver the parcel timeously if we had our couriers deliver the parcel to Seabourne by 25 April.
5. This was done by our couriers and we accepted that everything was in order.
6. On Friday the 26th we spoke to Norma again to confirm whether she had received the parcel. She confirmed that she had in fact received it and once again confirmed that the parcel would be delivered on time.
7. On 7 May 2013 we had a phone call from Melissa from Seabourne informing us that the parcel had still not been delivered.
The parcel that had to be delivered contained documents that had to be lodged with CIPC by 30 April. Because the parcel was late, we have incurred penalties of R6 750. Seabourne Express is refusing to pay these penalties and are offering a discount on the courier charges in lieu. This in not acceptable as they twice promised us that the parcel would be on time and we pre-paid them for the service.
