I bought a 2.7vvti from ERT recently and have a query regarding the lack of internal bonet insulation (compared to D4D models). I did not get any meaningful answers from the dealership and called toyota sa hoping to speak to a Tech Mgr or similar person. I spoke to a clueless call centre (x2), after explaining to receptionist what I wanted and that I did not want to speak to call centre. Call centre obviously not equipped to answer my non-standard query. Given the Durban factory number only to end up speaking to a security guard because all employees were away for a week! For a brand and organisation as big as toyota to not have a technical person available for queries is astounding. Alternately they don't want to be bothered by us muppets (commonly known as paying customers) and have set up an effective shield of receptionists and call centres to hide behind! WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT FROM THIS INTERNATIONAL BRAND! It's no wonder that I see so many complaints with various toyota agencies and dealerships here on Hello Peter.
