I dropped a vechile off after rental period. The vechile was not checked before my taking leave of it... partly my responsibility. While sitting in the departures hall I received a phone call from MR Shingwenyana telling me that I damaged one of the tyres. I queried this with the person in question as I find it difficult to believe (upon viewing the photo's) how this occured. I mentioned to him that the vechile had not been checked in my presence and in my opinion it is too easy to now submit a damage report.
In a subsequent e mail I requested feedback from Mr S why it was not standard procedure to check vechiles in the presence of the customer (i travel frequently and always utilize Europcar... no more)... and the vechile has never been checked in my presence - my responsibilty too.
The vechile in question was also issued to me as an 'upgrade' (courtesy of Europcar), when I came to paying I was charged for the upgrade??
After more than 1 month I have received no response from Europcar as too the above questions... what is one customer after all??
