The poor information given to clients; the lack of service, knowledge and etiquette at branches; and the don't care attitude towards customers will cause customers to leave the "Toyota Brand".
From the three people I know, all with similar mileages of over 200, 000kms; have had to change batteries. It can't just be co-incidence as my Battery too had to be changed at over 200, 000kms. So this leads me to believe that if the battery is only designed for this range and while Toyota provides a warranty up to 195, 000kms, it stands that this is to allow Toyota to cash in more on customers.
Yet, to get a new battery takes about 1 month and with a price tag over R20, 000; Toyota are truly showing its customers what they think, and that's that customers are there just for fulfilling its profits and pockets!
In the meanwhile, I have to make alternative transport arrangements and seen in a negative light by my customers. Toyota Rivonia says it can't give loan cars to customers who have cars older than 4 years, yet Toyota says it's a Branch policy. So who is lying to who?
Stock was due for arrival on the 24th of October, now its delayed to next month
