Trust from a good person

Cars & Transport

I am an elderly pensioner lady, and on this morning, I was wanting to travel to a nearby area to do some shopping, and also to take my ailing husband out as is routine once a day. Knowing my vehicle was low on petrol, I stopped at this Engen petrol station and asked the attendant to put R200.00 petrol in my car. As she was doing so, I opened my purse to get my debit card out to pay for the petrol, to realise that I had taken the card out at home beforehand and had forgotten to put it back in my purse. I had no other means of paying, so I went to the manager and told him what had transpired, asking him if I could please go back home to get the card, and offering to leave my ailing husband at the garage while I did so (mentioning as a joke that I just might not return for my husband). ha ha. The manager very kindly told me not to leave my husband but to go and get my card from home (which was not far away), I left my details card with him, went home, collected my debit card, returned and paid the bill and went to thank the manager again. I felt this was exceptionally good service and given with a smile on his face. thank you.
