Barristers
What an experience!

We had Christmas 2012 dinner at Barristers, in an almost empty restaurant. I guess the main do had been at lunch time. We couldn't eat our extremely salty mushroom soup - maybe it had spent the afternoon evaporating? We complained, it only needed thinning down, but nothing was done. After staring at our (now congealed) bowls for 20 minutes, the waitress popped her head in, presumably saw we hadn't started and disappeared. After another 10 minutes we eventually cleared the table ourselves. Next came salad, quite tasty, the only course that seemed fresh, but they now cleared it away while we were eating! Then came salmon, usually my favourite, but this was soft and powdery, not fantastically fresh. The main was completely cold (not lukewarm) food served on a piping hot plate (presumably to warm it), with a hot potato. I asked them to heat mine - that took 10 minutes and my food came back overcooked and dried out. Because of allergy, I had prearranged that they would give me fruit instead of dessert, but they had run out! so I had no dessert.

Unappetising food, appalling service, bad attitude, charged in full - no compensation. Christmas at Barristers? We all agreed - never again!
