TRYING TO OBTAIN SETTLEMENT FIGURE

On Sunday evening i have sent an email to Absa Card Division to obtain a settlement (CLOSURE) figure from the bank. I have received an automated email advising same will be attended to within 48 hours. With no response (Telephonic or per email), a second request was sent after waiting 48 hours. Yet again no response but an automated email. The matter was referred to Absa Actionline- again automated response and no feedback. I simply want to settle and close the account and obtain proof that the same was done. However Absa does not seem to want to attend to ANY queries regardless of which channel is being used. Please assist me in obtaining a person that WILL respond with the CLOSURE AMOUNT AND A LETTER THAT THE ACCOUNT IS CLOSED. Why do they offer electronic email addresses, if their unable to assist their clients! PLEASE HELP, as I think my request for the above is simple and as such not too demanding.
