I've emailed ABSA on the 25th Feb to ask to close an account and still haven't had a response. All that I received was an automated response saying that they have a high volume of emails. I've since sent another email on the 6th March 2013 to which I received an automated response saying that I will get a response as soon as possible. I think waiting more than 2 weeks is unacceptable - when they want to phone you to peddle their services, that happens pretty quickly and frequently. Learn to look after your customers so they will not hesitate to grow their portfolios with you. How can I trust you with my money and future investments when you can't respond to a simple query?
