After having an accident on 9 January 2013, Outsurance first did an accident investigation which delayed the assignment of a repairer to my claim by 10 days. Once the assessor had approved the repair, my car was sent to a panel beater named Riverside Autobody in Kyalami. My car had minor damage, but took nearly a month to repair and I was unable to get any feedback from either the panel beater or Outsurance-on going to Riverside they admitted they were simply overbooked with repairs and couldn't cope. On collection of my car, the job was not satisfactory, and I complained to the SIAS assessor about the repair. He informed me the job would have to be completely redone due to bad workmanship, after not having a vehicle for a month already. I also only received my excess back after numerous calls of complaint. Since then, I have been trying to get a response from Outsurance on when the repair will be done-no one ever calls me back, the call centre simply takes messages or transfers me. It is nearly 3 months now, I have cancelled my insurance with Outsurance from 1 May due to this incident, but I insist that my car will be repaired. So much for bending over backwards for clients!!
