Closing of a banking account

I went to Nedbank today to close my account. My account had a balance of about R77.00. I was told I will be refunded R27.00 and some cents and not the entire amount and was told the R50.00 was for administration. What on earth is that? I closed my account for exactly that reason, you are charged for things that do not make sense. So I want my R50.00 and want nothing from them.
