They almost doubled my premiums!

I receive an email yesterday (9th April 2013) stating that their policy schedule has been updated and that my premium has been revised. To my SHOCK I see that my premiums are now 1884.59, and it use to be 997.79.
That's almost DOUBLE! When I lodge a complaint, the lady calls me (no idea what her name is as I can't pronounce it) and tells me this is not a mistake, and that the price is so high because the parts for the vehicle has increased.
This is a 2011 Polo 1.4 and I know people with Golf 6 GTI's who pay less than this! And they conveniently do this when I'm just 3 months away from having 1 year of uninterrupted comprehensive insurance. Now I'm forced to change because of this!
