I have been an account holder of Standard Bank, since student days. I applied for a home loan to Standard Bank, via a broker a few weeks ago, and we are yet to receive any feedback. Whenever a follow up is made, Standard Bank makes excuses, and keeps requesting more documents. My question is, why were these documents not requested at the beginning, to ensure a smoother and faster process. My husband applied to Nedbank, the same time the broker applied to Standard bank. Nedbank responded two weeks ago, and still, no feedback from Standard Bank, on whether the application has been approved or declined. If this is the service I am to expect from Standard Bank, i assure you, i will be transferring my account.
