On 9 November 2012 Benoni got hit by an very bad hailstorm. At 17:30 that afternoon we discovered severe damage to our house (plates was lifted from roof which resulted in severed water damage inside the house & outside buildings)
We reported this on 10/11/2012 to ABSA insurance.
After various phonecalls; emails and threats we eventually got the claim approved on 20/12/2012. That is almost 7 weeks to get the claim approved... and suprise surprise... the contractors had closed down for xmas.

So we had to wait until today to see what was approved! ABSA took off many items that was supposed to be repaired as they said "they did not receive the photo's for the damage" or was not "justified".

We are tired of poor excuses; consultants not coming back to you - and now we are stuck with repairs that is only going to be done half because that is all that ABSA approved. (according to the contractor all the repairs was justified with photos and comments in their report)

We have been living in a house that leaks severly from 9 November; since the initial damage the damage has accrued as it took such a long time to get a contractor out.

Really really poor service.
