During the course of November 2012, we sustained damages to our roof due to storm/hail damage and was reported to ABSA Insurance Co. as a claim against my HOC policy. ABSA Ins. appointed GRV Maintenance cc to repair damages. ABSA Inc. claimed that due to "bad workmanship" we were responsible for repairs. We contracted GRV on a personal capacity and paid a sum of R6, 500 to repair damages. During November 2013 we experienced storm/hail damage again and with the advise of 4 independent contractors (2 being ABSA appointed on the new claim), it was brought to my attention that the repairs carried out 1 year ago were not up to quality workmanship levels. As an ABSA approved contractor, I expected the workmanship to be up to a satisfactory level but, I have now had to lodge yet another claim against my HOC for the same issues concerned. In an attempt to sort the matter out with GRV, I was met with nothing else but hostility. The service and quality workmanship GRV profess to have, has proven nothing but poor!! I would not recommend GRV Maintenance to carry out any repairs on ANY property. The service received from ABSA Ins. alone is another complaint entirely!!
