I submitted a claim to Outsurance for lightning damage to some of my electrical equipment. Within a week they had assessed the claim and new items were delivered. Excellent response time.
Unfortunately their supplier delivered a cordless phone that was not compatible with the with the phones I had.
I did not claim all three phones, because only the base station appeared to be damaged. I felt it unfair to claim a full set.
I contacted Outsurance on the next working day to inform them. They contacted their supplier to rectify the situation. I contacted them a week later, as there was no response. Again another week later. And yet again. They gave me the details of their supplier. The supplier is a sub-contractor to Outsurance, and Outsurance should follow up on complaints. It is now FIVE weeks since the claim and still I have no cordless phone. On the last contact I was told they did not have stock of the phones, but they would be delivered on 5 or 6 March. Still nothing!! Not even a phone call to say that the stock has not arrived yet. When should I start getting upset with Outsurance!!???
