My home was struck by lightning on 12/03/2013. I lodged a claim for damage to my electric fence, gate and internal fixtures the next day. Heard nothing for a week. Phoned back on 20/03/2013 and was told that the 3rd party supplier was at fault. I asked for a manager to contact me given the lack of contact, but never heard back. The Outsurance supplier eventually contacted me on 20/03/2013. They were rude over the phone but visited my home on 21/03/2013 to assess the damage. At that point, I discovered the supplier (whose contact details Outsurance didn't bother to provide) only supplies security services. I spoke to Outsurance again today (22/03/2013) and asked what was happening with the internal fixtures. Apparently nothing, from the feedback. So, for over a week I have had no perimeter security, I've had to argue with Outsurance about fulfilling the terms of my insurance policy and deal with their 3rd party suppliers who I have no agreement with and I still have some way to go, it seems. Where is the client service in all this? I can tell you: nowhere! Why my bank ever recommended Outsurance is beyond me.
