Car written Off???

I have been trying to obtain proof of my car being written off from said company since November. To date i have not received any help. I fixed my car privately and since they cannot confirm that my car has been written off I cannot drive the car in question AS it is not licensed. and cannot get a new license. I do not wanna put my self as risk by driving an unlicensed car. MFC has been really unhelpful in this matter.
