I am not happy about Hollard's customer service. I took a funeral policy in 2001. I covered my extended family including my brother. My brother passed away in December 2012. I logged a claim, after a week they did not come back to me I phoned them and I was told to get an affidavit to confirm that it was my brother that has passed away. I got an affidavit and it was sent to them, again they did not come back to me.
Another week passed, they stil did not come back to me I had to phone them to enquire about the status of they claim. I was told that I insured my brother as a spouse and not as a brother. I informed them that the policy was taken in 2001 and hence I do not have any documents with me to check that. I requested that they send me the original document, to this day I am still waiting for them. The big problem is not not about payment but about their lack of treating a customer with dignity. I am still waiting for them to come back to me, and waiting to see whether they will pay or not. Policy number 5272733 ref no. WF165626439. I think they should pay as I have been with them for more than 10 years.
