Brother passed away in 2001

Lawyers & Legal Counseling

Brother had no will, our father became the beneficiary of his estate, a lump sum was paid over to my dad's estate, as per the agreement between the 2 brothers. 100% of the house wasn't transferred onto my brothers name. So the 2 brothers own 50%. However the L & D account reads 50% to my dad and the remaining 50% is divided between the 3 sibling. The 1 brother should get 50% been the owner and then my Dads divided into 3. It has taken this solicitor 13 years and various correspondence from other attorneys explaining that the L & D is incorrect, he has not responded not corrected the L & D account. I have laid a complaint with the law society in 2007 have case no on hand, when I enquired from them what the progress of this matter was I was told they have no claim on hand, was told to resubmit a claim, which I did so another affidavit was submitted in 2012. Correspondence was received from the Law Society but no follow up's have been done regarding this matter. I phone all the time to find out the progress. The last correspondence was from the Law Society to the DBN based solicitor in August 2012 wanting to uplift the file, so the board could scrutinize why it has taken him this long.
