First National Bank
32 Day Account - Change of terms when they want to

Business & Finance

FNB has now changed the terms and conditions of there 32 Day Account without notifying anyone. I know that a 32 day account is suppose to have a 32 notice period, but when you sign up for it they do tell you if you want to withdraw the funds sooner you can do but you pay a penalty.

I have done this on 3 separate occasions with no problem and paid the penalty. All of a sudden I went to withdraw from my 32 Day account again and was told that I now have to prove why I need my own money out of that account. Apparently they have now implemented that you need to prove that you need the money and send you on a wild goose chase to get documents and even then they don't guarantee that they will give you your money. It is a managers discretion as to whether you can have your money.

The woman that served me was blatantly rude and said to me " you knew the conditions of the account when you joined and we have the right to change the conditions as and when we feel like it". If that's not bad attitude and service from a bank, I don't know what is.

I can tell you now that I am closing all my FNB accounts now as I don't trust FNB anymore. They can't be trusted with our money.
