Policy still not issued after several weeks

I bought a surgery plan from AIG on January 14 this year, and was told that the policy documentation would be sent to me within 3 weeks. The reference number given to me was 314860. The first premium of R502-23 was deducted from my current account on 1 February.

To date the policy documentation has still not been sent to me. When I called the Customer Call Centre on 19 February I was told that the documentation would be sent to me by email within 48 hours (reference 335596). The 48 hours expired and I still didn't receive any policy documentation. I called again on 21 February and the consultant promised that I would receive the documentation by close of business on Friday 22 February at the latest. Needless to say, still NO documentation has been sent to me.

It is almost time for the second premium to be deducted and I am still waiting for the documentation. Even more annoying is the fact that each time I call, the Customer Call Centre tries their utmost to sell a SECOND product to me in the form of a hospital cash plan, while they are not even capable of managing the FIRST policy properly by sending it to me! Even the AIG Complaint Department is reluctant to help. AJ Pelse
