I bought my house at 75 Charles street in Newlands Johannesburg in 2003 through Nedbank. As my home is a bond house and I have insurance with the bank. Heavy rains were experienced late last year the outbuilding of my house was damaged the sliding door as well as the roof. I put in a claim with Nedbank for the sliding door and the roof that is leaking heavy. They took months to process my claims I had to on a continuous basis follow up on my claims and eventually they told the sliding door they cannot replaced and the roof can also not be fixed as it is old. I have experienced so much damage in my outbuilding building cupboards, my walls I even had to trough away clothes and shoes that has been spoiled. And now they want to pay me out R 9, 000 for the roof that will not even cover half of the costs for the roof. I'm not sure ehat i stand to do now.
