My wife asked the teller to help her complete a deposit form as she had left her spectacles at home. The teller rudely stated that she cannot leave her counter and so forth. When my wife asked how she could get assistance the teller told her that there is a person on the floor who is supposed to do this. My wife then asked the teller to point out this person and there was no one on the floor. She then decided to assist my wife. When the next customer went to this teller, both laughed and joked within earshot of my wife about depositing money without a deposit slip. They failed this 65 year old customer!!! My wife was deeply pained and we telephoned to to speak to the Manager and were advised that she is on leave. We then telephoned Nedbank in Johannesburg and after a really long wait were put through to Irene who was unable to return a call!!! The complaint page refuses to accept @ and demands an ID number so to make the complaint on the e-mail is seemingly impossible. I am particularly concerned about the control of staff at the Branch and the training of staff to ensure empathy for people seeking service and assistance
