I went in to Nedbank Cavendish square branch to get 3 months of statements and to notify them again of my change of address. I was issued a ticket with a number on and told to wait until my number was called. Most people looked highly agitated, a couple of people decided to leave. After a mere half hour wait E105 was repeated 3 times over the PA. A human being came to the waiting area and checked for the absent numbers he eventually called my number and escorted me to a teller. The teller insisted that she needed to see E105 but was eventually persuaded to attend to me. I explained to the teller that I needed 3 months statement and that I needed the address corrected. I was asked if I had proof of my address. I offered to show her a copy of our lease signed by my wife and witnessed by me, my marriage certificate and a certificate by wife stating that we reside at the same address. However this was not acceptable and was told that I would need to fill out a form to be signed by my wife and I. At this stage I suffered a severe attack of Turrets and was unable to persuade her that to knowingly keep the incorrect address on my statement was defeating FICA legislation.
