Charged my wife's card twice for the same goods!

On Saturday the 23rd of Feb we went to Clicks to purchase a few items. We were in Saldanha for the weekend, we stay in Brackenfell. When my wife paid with her card she received a sms that said the amount of was deducted of her bank account. The teller then told her it declined. My wife showed her the sms and she said she does not know why this happened. She wanted to swipe my wife's card again, but my wife said it already went off once. She said she cant give us our purchases then. Later a senior lady came and said she will ask the supervisor. She came back and said the supervisor said, if we swipe the card again, the previous transaction will cancel automatically. She swiped again, again sms came through that the money went off. This time it worked, and they gave us the goods, but NO transaction was cancelled. When we asked the teller, she said we must take the slip to a Clicks near where we say, then they will fax to Head office, and they will refund us?? My and my wife do not get lunch at work during day, now we have to go out of our way because of mistake at Clicks which was not our fault!
