Nedbank
Bad service and products that don't work

Business & Finance

I activated the "no funds alert" option on my account on the 1st of February because I knew I would only be able to do a transfer later that evening to cover a debit order. The woman who helped me told me it has been activated which was confirmed subsequently. Around 10 pm I did the transfer from by business account at which point no debit order had yet gone through. The next morning I checked and both the transfer to and the debit order had gone through. Only difference was that the transfer now showed as being done on the 2nd. Was not concerned as the woman who helped me as we'll as their advert says 32 hours to deposit or transfer fees which I had already done. The following day it showed that a R90 referral fee had been levied for the debit order for being overdrawn due to the fact that I had gone into overdraft during the night. Firstly, the product didn't work. Secondly, why process debit orders before transfers into accounts resulting in funds not being available on time. I have spoken to 4 consultants at the call centre but each time got cut off when they didn't know what to do. Phoned my branch out of frustration and again today, with still no call back from the manager.
