Incompetence of the worst kind

I am utterly disappointed with how Hollard has acted regarding my dads claim. He had a minor accident in late November, Hollard being his insurer assessed the vehicle so as to repair, to his suprise the R11 000 odd damages warranted that the vehicle was a write off, even though its value was close to R100k, him being none the wiser regarding insurance duly accepted this decision, hollard even requested his settlement documents from his financier & further arranged that his vehicle be fetched by SMD who were the appointed salvage company. He then proceeded to acquire himself another car, seeing that his beloved Jetta was now deemed uneconomical to repair. Imagine his suprise a month later in January, he is then called by the repaire Automagic to advise he can bring the same written off car for repairs, upon enquiring with Hollard, they advised that the car is in fact repairable & that they had made a mistake with deeming it a write off, this after his gotten himself another vehicle & mind you a month later blaming it on the festive season, hence no communication from their side. utterly appalled by this grave injustice.
