My vehicle was booked in for body repairs on the 08/01 and I subsequently obtained a hire vehicle through Hollard on the same day. I received an sms stating that the rental is till 08/02 OR when my vehicle is repaired. Needless to say, the repairs took over a month (delay in parts etc etc). I was not at any stage informed by Hollard that my hired vehicle is expiring UNTIL I received a call from Budget (whom I received the car) that I need to return the car. This was ONE week after the 08/02. I called Hollard and spoke with Patience and then Phindi who was none too helpful and insisted that I return the vehicle - even though my vehicle was not ready! I was also told to pick my vehicle up as it was "ready". This was not the case as all repairs were not complete. In summary - I did not receive any correspondence on the vehicle hire including maximum duration I have the vehicle for. I have looked at all my emails etc and the only correspondence I received was the sms stated above. I have now been charged R3, 200 by Budget for the vehicle hire when this was to have been covered by Hollard. I also looked through a copy of my policy and there is NO stipulation that vehicle hire is one month
