Standard bank issues for closing account as well

I have moved out of the country and wanted to close my account (not that if i stayed I would have continued, read my last reports).
They told me to send "Secure Message" from the internet banking site, and they will call within 24 hours and help close my account.

Now I have sent, two secure messages, 3 weeks and 2 weeks back, no reply, then I call them up (I also have a prestige account, so called the prestige number) few days ago, they told me system is down they cannot close my account.
Now today i called again, they told me they can ONLY close prestige account, the other ACCESS account I need to send "Secure message".

Last time when they treated me like this for another issue, I wrote a report in Hello peter, and within few days my issue was resolved by Deon and folks in the complaints Dept. I really think the complaints dept of standard bank are the only ones who truly work.

Anyways, PLEASE PLEASE close my account, as I am fed up with the entire banking service of standard bank.

I have called prestige banking today 28-01-2013, and asked them to close after validating account details. please action on that call, rather than asking me again to send "Secure Message"
