Assessor to be assessed at claims department

My husband passed away on 2013/05/31 and claims were submitted in June 2013 to Discovery and Liberty. Discovery requested all necessary documents and after receiving it the claim was processed within 3 weeks. Liberty requested the same documents and it was submitted but to date no decision is made whether the claim will be paid or not. I understand that a policy needs to be older than 2 years for a "no questions asked"claim but really now... almost a year!! Same documents were requested on several occasions, there is no communication between their own departments. As soon as you want some feedback nobody is available and will "apparently"get back to you... I'm still waiting. Should claims department or the assessor not communicate with the claimant? I still need to support my child and want to get this matter sorted to know what I need to do in future to provide for my child. The death of my husband was traumatic enough and I don't need Liberty to decorate that tree as well. I am tired of fighting at my expense and need some answers. Heaven forbid that we miss a payment but try to get you claim processed... MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!!! Looks like they are looking for a reason not to pay
