On January 4th 2014, whilst trying to withdraw cash from a Local ATM, my debit card gets swallowed into the machine, whilst on my way to the bank to get a new card R 5000 was withdrawn from my account at an unknown location, I reported a case to Standard Bank and they advised me that the case will be investigated and the investigators will get back to me within 10 working days, it's been 20 days. On several occasions when I called, I got no help!!! Since I am out of the country, my husband holds POA on my acc. When he had called again he was told by someone at the dept that there's nothing that they can do, we reopened this case and are still waiting for a response 3 days later!!! I have been banking with standard bank for more than 15 yrs, I have NeVa received such pathetic service from them before, there is a great deal of banking that I do with them and still have been treated with such injustice, It seems that no investigations were done. I want a reliable answer from the bank with proof of their investigations. If they did their jobs in the first place I would have my money by now. Totally dissatisfied client thinking of an alternative banking institution!!!
