I was approached to move over from FNB Insurance Brokers to FNB Insurance Direct. However I put in a claim for a laptop which was damaged by lightning at our premises, I was told that it has to be specified. However, I disagreed because there was a claim before for a laptop and I never experienced any problems. It falls under ALL RISKS. I believe that this is unfair to now say that terms and conditions have changed when I was told that everything remains the same. The' company now handling this is Old Mutual iWyze. The very same claim is also for my TV and amp which was also lightning damaged. A week ago I was told thata the replacement items will be delivered to my house, when I enquired it was 3 models older than my amp and the tv was an LG. I said it was unacceptable. They said they will pay cash. The tv from the supplier was R9000 and the amp was R3400-this was approved. When I received the loss form the amount been refunded was R9000 - unacceptable. Faith sends me a quote from the internet from the supplier in the US and quotes me on that price... that is laughable. The amp firstly is discontinued and the price she quotes me on is 6 years ago... management is asleep offcourse!
