I received SMSes last night about 2 transactions that was made using my FNB Cheque Card totalling over R5000. This however was not me. I immediately phoned the Card Division and Cancelled my card. The gentle was friendly over the phone and explained to me that I need to go to my branch and fill out a Dispute form. I then asked how will the case take to resolve and my money returned, he said 48 hours once the Fax has been sent to he relevant department.

I then did just that, I went to Westgate and a lady by the name of Bright helped me. First off she was not friendly at all. Second, I explained my situation to her. She then made me feel like the criminal, blaming me that I made the purchases and forgot about them. Then after some words, I filled out the forms and she submitted them. I asked her how will it take to resolve, and she said 8 weeks!!!

I'm sorry, but 48 hours vs 8 weeks is not the same! As a loyal Platinum Client, I expect better service. Why was I made out to be the criminal and need to sit for 2 months without my money. When I left I told her that I am not happy, and I will take it up with my premium banker, she just shrugged as if to say, "you do that!
