First National Bank
No communication on Credit Card application

Business & Finance

I am very disappointed with the service that I have received from FNB. Early Jan I went to the Century City branch to apply for new cheque & credit card accounts as a result of a switch from ABSA. I submitted all the required documentation to Kevin (the consultant who helped me with the application) & was told that I would hear from FNB within 2 weeks. I finally received a SMS to come collect my cheque card after almost a month. Visited the branch on the 2nd of Feb & collected my cheque card, when I asked if they know when I can expect my Credit Card I was directed to the Credit Card Helpline, after speaking to the call centre agent I has told that they have no recollection that an application form was submitted on my behalf. I went back to the branch the next day 3rd of Feb 2013 & was helped by a lady. She told me that she will not be able to check where the application is but will leave a message for Kevin to look into it on Monday. In an attempt to avoid another visit to the bank I left her with more copies of the required documents. To this day I still haven't heard anything from FNB & have no idea what the situation is. Thus far my move to FNB hasn't been an great experience.
