My debit order with AB has always been scheduled for the last day of the month, with no hassle. On the 17th Dec I get a sms from my bank confirming that AB decided to deduct ANOTHER payment WITHOUT MY CONSENT - without any form of communication whatsoever!! The debit for Dec was cleared on the 29th Nov, but then in THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH another debit is deducted! I had to contact Customer Service only to be told that sms's were sent to the customers - THIS IS A LIE! I was told that the monies would be reimbursed on the 19th Dec.By the 21st I had to phone again and query, then was told the monies would be reversed by the 26th. On the 27th I HAD TO ONCE AGAIN PHONE, wasting airtime once again, only to be given another tel number to lodge a complaint. I had a budget for the month (especially being festive season), but because AB JUST DEBITS WHEN THEY SEE FIT, I was forced cancel family activities! I want to know how lawful and business ethical it is to debit a customers account WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT?!!
